Wedding Day Portraits – Julie & Khang – Traditional Buddhist wedding

The groom along with his family and friends bring gifts that represent the wealth

that the groom’s family will bring to the bride’s family.

The bride waits for the groom’s presents to be accepted.

Once accepted, he will be given permission to greet his bride.

Jewelry is exchanged for good fortune.

A formal tea ceremony is held where the bride and groom serve tea to their parents.

The candle ceremony symbolizes the joining of two families.

I am so grateful to have been a part of this traditional cultural experience.
